M. Stephen...is well supported by the youth of      the congregation and as tennis is distinctly on the boom in town, the new club should secure      a firm footing.  The membership is open to all, already it is large, but application forms may      still be obtained.” (Lennox Herald)</div> <bR> <div>      <B><U> 12th July  -  New Courts Opened at Dumbarton</U></B>     </div> <div>                                         </div> <div>      “On Saturday afternoon the tennis courts at Kirktonhill, acquired by the Social and Athletic      Club of the United Free North Church were declared open for play be Colonel John M.      Denny, C.B., of Helenslee.  The old courts, which formerly belonged to the Old Kirktonhill      Tennis Club, had fallen into disrepair during the war, but as a result of the enthusiasm of the      Rev. W.L.Stephen and the energy and practical help of a number of interested lieutenants, </div> <div>      two of the four courts were bottomed with tons of material .....”  (Lennox Herald)</div> <bR> <div> <B><U>1922</U></B>     <U>29th April  -  Kirktonhill Tennis Courts</U></div> <div>      “The Kirktonhill Tennis Courts were opened on Saturday...
