Kirktonhill Tennis Club has rounded off its busy summer programme with the Junior Championship. Up to 16 youngsters signed up for the competition and it was Stephane Bouchard and Jordan Fleming who battled their way through to the final. Both were worthy contenders for the winning trophy, playing some excellent tennis and competing for every shot along the way. In the end it was 14year-old Stephane who came out the winner and received the inaugural junior trophy kindly donated by long-time member and club stalwart, Pat Leonard. All of the youngsters have been coached by Douglas Mackechnie and it was Douglas who presented the trophies in front of an appreciative group of spectators.
How to find the Club:
We are located in Dumbarton, next to Levengrove Park. Drive up Clydeshore Road and take the 2nd turning on the right into Dixon Avenue. The club is at the top of this short road. Visitors are requested to park only on the left-hand side of Dixon Avenue only or, better still, on Clydeshore Road.
